Here are some updated pictures of the kids. I wanted to take some photos of my hydrangea bush, so Libby jumped in front of the camera, too. The day after I took these pictures, we had several days of heavy downpours, and the bush was flattened a bit, but it's recovering.

Libby and Caleb both got haircuts on Saturday. Libby must have lost 6 inches of her baby blond curls! Her hair looks a lot darker without those blond curly ends. She looks so much older now with shorter hair! My babies are growing up so fast.

We are baby sitting a tiny kitten this week while her foster parents are on vacation. She is a single orphan baby and is just now being weaned off her bottle. Her name is Amelia and we all love her. She purrs her little heart out when you pet her and take her out of her cage to run around. Both kids LOVE taking turns petting and holding her, although Caleb still has difficulty remembering not to squeeze her and to keep her right side up when he's holding her.

Our boy kitty from Moscow is scheduled to arrive in September. He is just about 7 weeks old now and his breeder Evgeniya Zarankina sent us new photos. His name has been changed to "Yaguar", which is more bad-boy and studly then his original name "Yandex". He is adorable! Hopefully he will bring us some beautiful kittens with Annie and Millie when he grows up.

Our adoption update: Nathan and I are planning to take foster parent classes through the county in September. The classes will take several weekends and some weekday evenings and will last through most of September. While we are waiting for the classes to begin, we are reading tons of books about the process and learning everything we can. We have talked to other adoptive parents, social workers and a lawyer and are excited to see what avenues God will open for us as we proceed. Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward and see what happens.

Everyone here is doing well and enjoying the summer. It seems to be passing so quickly this year. This summer has been so busy each weekend, and we're already making plans for the holidays and even next summer. We have a few links to photos that have not been posted online yet, so here you go: July 2008, July 4th Weekend, and Myrtle Beach IV.
